FIRST CAME SPEAR FISHING

In our previous Homeschooler Adventurer post, Russell Winter told the story of spear fishing in the Amazon River. The post also mentioned how, during his seven-week adventure in Ecuador, a new friend had taken him spear fishing on the Salinas coast. See the lovely fish he caught there? A CHANGE IN PLANS

When I first interviewed Russell Winter back in November of 2014, I thought it would be helpful to record our session so I could refer back to the video when I wrote the one blog post I had planned. When she returned to Ecuador to minister to and live among the people who had brutally murdered her husband and four other men, she courageously demonstrated what it means to “love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you” (Matt. 5:44).
