Walking with the Waodani – Part 2 – The Lost Spear

A CHANGE IN PLANS

When I first interviewed Russell Winter back in November of 2014, I thought it would be helpful to record our session so I could refer back to the video when I wrote the one blog post I had planned. However, the longer we talked (we talked for 2.5 hours!), the more captivated I became by Russell’s storytelling! As you may already know, that “one” initial blog post morphed into a blog series … which morphed into a series with a few worksheets … which morphed into our newest release: Walking with the Waodani.

PARDON THE “LOW RES”

As I reviewed the videos, I realized that you would enjoy hearing Russell tell some of his stories far more than reading what I might write about them. This did create a bit of a problem, though. The video interview was never intended for publication. (The video quality leaves much to be desired.) It took some time, but we decided to “bite the bullet” as they say and publish a few original clips.

A HONORABLE RESPONSE TO A LOST SPEAR

Russell went spear fishing for the first time with a new friend who took him diving on Salinas coast in Ecuador. The second time Russell went spear fishing was quite a different experience. 🙂 He tells the story in the video shared below…

WOULD YOU DIVE INTO THE AMAZON RIVER TO RETRIEVE THAT LOST SPEAR?
